Ballet For All Kids is a non-profit organization whose mission is to give every child, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, the opportunity to reap the benefits of a classical ballet education.
We depend on the community to volunteer and help make a difference in the lives of kids with special needs. Come and assist students as they learn ballet technique. All volunteers must be passionate about our mission and comfortable working with children. No dance experience necessary. Consistent weekly volunteers preferred, but one-time help is also greatly appreciated.
We hold classes Saturdays and Sundays in various locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Our Brooklyn class takes place at Brooklyn Center Stage Dance Studio, Sundays 1:45-2:45pm. Please check our website for our current class schedule: https://www.balletforallkids.com/classes/

Mission Statement
At Ballet For All Kids, we know everybody has abilities that can be used as a springboard to learn new skills and enhance a personal sense of accomplishment. Unfortunately, many children cannot succeed in a traditional class setting and are thus excluded from the numbers benefits that dance classes offer. Our integral approach offers a less restrictive environment paired with individualized attention and support in order to help every student succeed. We share the joys and benefits with all abilities, bodies, and learners.
Description
Our program teaches classical ballet using The Schlachte Method - a method developed to assist ALL children to learn the technique and discipline of ballet.
Every child has abilities that can be used as a springboard to learn new skills and enhance each child’s personal sense of accomplishment. To this end, The Schlachte Method uses a wide variety of teaching methods to accommodate all styles of learning including: visual learning, auditory learning, vestibular learning, and emotional intelligence.
Ballet For All Kids enables ALL children to dance. Many children cannot succeed in a traditional ballet class setting and thus are excluded from all the benefits that ballet classes can bring - self-confidence, friendships, self-discipline, and the joy of movement. Ballet For All Kids welcomes everyone to experience the joy of dance!
