Music Instructor- Music Lessons Volunteer

Hello! The Kid City music program is looking for volunteer instructors to give music lessons to our students for the Summer Semester. If you or someone you know is musically inclined and interested in helping students learn music, we would love to have you as a part of our summer program. Here is a bit more information: - Music lessons are 45 minutes long once a week, scheduled anytime between 4 and 7 on weekdays. We work out a schedule within that time frame that works for the student and the instructor. If you're available for a portion of the time or on a different day, we can work to pair you with students with similar schedules. - We ask for a contribution of 1-3 hours per week. - Lessons usually have one instructor and 1-2 students. Lessons are planned based on the recommendations of the instructor and the band director and tailored to the interests of the student. Each week the band director provides support in planning lessons. - We are in particular need of voice, piano, and guitar teachers. - We provide instruments and materials to students free of charge. - Most students are beginners who have been playing for 6-7 months. - Lessons take place at Kid City, downstairs in the music office or the band room. - Lessons will finish the week leading up to Saturday, August 10, the date of the performance.
