About SPOKES FIGHTING STROKES INC

Location:

1425 E EL PARQUE DR, TEMPE, AZ 85282, US

Mission Statement

Several years ago a stroke survivor named Dan Zimmerman started to ride a adapted trike and improved immanency. As a result of his experience he formed a non profit called Spokes Fighting Strokes and has used his own funds to provide adapted trikes to any one with a disability and transports these trikes (he now has about 20 of them) to locations in Mesa, Tempe, Peoria and Tucson for the disabled to ride at no charge to any one who shows up. In the summer months Dan travels to Colorado with his adapted bikes and takes stroke survivors for rides in three different locations in the State.

Description

Spokes Fighting Strokes has been funded, up to now, entirely the expense of it's founder, Dan Zimmerman.
Funding is now required to keep this valuable program producing rehabilitation for stroke survivors and to remove some of the financial burden from it's founder.
A volunteer with computer experience is needed and the ability to seek grants would help greatly.
