The McLaren Hospice Program is a special kind of care designated to provide support and comfort for people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Our hospice team provides services to meet the physical, spiritual, psychological, social and emotional needs of each patient and their family. Hospice Volunteers are highly valued by both staff & patient families and are critical to providing quality hospice services. We strive to enable patient's to carry on a pain free life and to manage other symptoms so that the last days with family and friends may be spent with a much dignity and quality of life as possible.

Caregivers are those who take care of their loved one who has a life limiting illness. They often are stressed, over-worked, and under supported. McLaren Hospice is looking for dedicated individuals to connect with caregivers to offer them the support they deserve. Training is provided and no medical knowledge is necessary. This is a great opportunity for students, retirees, and anyone who wants to make an impact in people's lives.

Caregiver Support Services may include (can be provided virtually/phone or in-person):
- Emotional support phone calls to check-in for needs and to be a listening ear
- Creating support letters/cards
- Friendly visits with caregiver by phone, zoom, or in-person
- Group caregiver zoom calls for support
