ORGANIZATION: EveryStep Hospice

Hospice volunteering is borne from a genuine desire to give comfort, peace, and care to patients, caregivers, and families during the end of life. Hospice volunteers have a tremendous impact on the lives of the patients that they serveand the families and friends of the terminally ill. EveryStep Hospice is always in need of quality volunteers who value enhancing the quality of life for patients and families. Companion volunteers not only sit with patients, but they can assist with housekeeping, baking, reading to the patient, providing comfort care, and much more. Volunteers fill the gap between loved ones and professional caregivers. Volunteers will be there even when friends and family may not be able to. You will be provided with training to help you meet the needs of patients and families. .

We are in need of companion volunteers in and around Osceola, New Virginia, St. Charles, Murray, Afton, Earlham, Greenfield, Winterset, Corning, Lenox ,Leon, Lamoni, Mount Ayr, Bedford, and Creston.
