The NAMI Living Room is a peer-led alternative to the emergency room for people experiencing an increase in mental health symptoms.

NAMI is currently seeking someone to volunteer as a greeter on Saturdays and/or Sundays. We are open from 1pm-9pm but a 4-hour shift during those hours on one or both days is acceptable.

The greeter's responsibilities include:

  • Being the smiling face at the front desk when people come in
  • Picking up phone calls and either answering questions or transferring to Living Room staff
  • Light amounts of data entry
  • Other office related tasks as they come up
A one to two day orientation and training will be required to take place on weekdays.
