Join the voices for recovery during CFR's 7th Annual Recovery & Wellness 5K run/walk. Together we can promote wellness and help raise awareness that recovery from mental health and substance use disorders is possible!
A 5K run/walk will be held, with healthy snacks and a variety of family-friendly activities following the race. Volunteers will be needed to help with all aspects of the event, such as registration assistance, crafts, race timing, course management, and more! Timeline: Saturday, September 7, 2019; Check-in 8:00-8:45 am, Welcome/Event Kickoff at 9:00 am, activities to follow until Noon
This event is held in honor of the National Recovery Month effort to raise awareness that behavioral health is essential to overall health, prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can and do recover from mental health and substance use disorders.

Community and Family Resources is dedicated to proactively assisting individuals, families, and communities achieve healthy behavior and lifestyle through advocacy, prevention, and treatment of substance abuse, problem gambling, and mental illness.
Description
Community and Family Resources (CFR) has been a free standing comprehensive substance abuse provider dedicated to serving families since 1968. We are licensed by the State of Iowa to provide Substance Abuse Services and accredited as a Mental Health Service Provider by the Iowa Department of Human Services.
CFR offers outpatient behavioral health services in Boone, Calhoun, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Story, Webster, and Wright Counties. Prevention services are also included in Franklin and Hardin Counties. CFR’s residential treatment facilities, detoxification unit, crisis stabilization unit, transitional living/halfway housing, and administrative offices are located in Fort Dodge.
Community and Family Resources is focused on integrated and exceptional behavioral health care and prevention services to those seeking help for substance use, mental illness, co-occurring issues, or problem gambling.
