Tuesdays @ 3:30pm-5:00pm we hold a Social Skills Class using improv games as well as teach parents how to work with their kiddos at home on valuable social skills found within improv games. Zip Zap Zop Enrichment has created adaptations for all children to play improv games together. This class has children who could use a one-on-one aide to help them engage in the games and reach their highest potential while playing with Maja Watkins (founder and lead teacher) as well as Alexandria Arena (speech therapist). The volunteer would have a background in special education, autism, child development, and/or the desire to work with the autism community helping reach social goals. The aid would help the child and not speak for the child, but instead be a "shadow" to the child and learn about the child's unique ways they communicate. It is so fun to play improv games with children and even more fun going through the perspective of the child themselves!
