Volunteer Photographer Needed for Kidsfest!

Event: Kidsfest

Date: May 4, 2019

Time: 10-3pm (shifts possible if more than one volunteer is interested)

Location: Cascades Park

Event Description: Kidsfest is our annual free event featuring community exhibitors, live entertainment, food, and 100+ children’s activities, crafts, and games. Kidsfest is one of the City of Tallahassee’s 12 signature events. Last year, we saw an estimated attendance of 7,000, and our social media statistics indicate we are on track to surpass that mark this year.

Organization Description: Kids Incorporated is a nonprofit providing early learning, health, and family services to families with children ages 0-3 and pregnant women in Leon, Jefferson, and Madison County.

Need: A volunteer is needed to take 1,000+ photographs of the event throughout the day. Volunteer must provide their own DSLR camera. Volunteer can keep all photographs for their portfolio, but cannot copyright the photographs. Photographs will be used to showcase the event on our website and social media, and to create a promotional video for the following year’s Kidsfest.

If you are interested, please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Sara Boscacci, at sboscacci@kidsincorporated.org.

Mission Statement

Mission: Supporting and educating families and young children through quality early learning, health and family services. Vision: All families and children reach their full potential.

Description

Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend is the only community-based organization providing quality, comprehensive services and shaping futures of at-risk families with children ages 0-3 and pregnant women in Jefferson, Leon & Madison counties, Florida.

Founded in 1972 by the late Budd Bell, a community volunteer with a master's in social work, Budd recognized the need for affordable, high quality early learning programs for families with young children. Our name and our services have evolved over the years, but one constant remains: to best serve a child, we must serve the family.
