We are looking for skilled volunteers to help repair Braille Writers. The Braille Writer is a durable braille writing device similar to a manual typewriter used for reading, writing, and literacy from early learning through adulthood. It is an essential tool for Braille reading patrons of the library.

The Braille Writer Repair project is open to anyone who enjoys tinkering, doing complex mechanical repair, and is good at problem-solving. This project aims not only to get machines repaired but to enjoy the camaraderie of other volunteers, learn new skills, and receive a great deal of satisfaction for a job well done.
