ORGANIZATION: Marillac St. Vincent Family Services

The Nearly New Thrift Shop at Marillac St. Vincent Family Services is looking for STORE ASSISTANTS who can help us one or more days a week for 2-4 hours at a time. We welcome friendly, team-oriented people who have a talent for organizing, a good eye for what's fashionable, and who love a good bargain! Help us sort and clean donated goods, organize and price items, stage them for display and assist and check-out customers. We work with Volunteers to allow a flexible schedule, in an environment of fun and friendly folks! Come once a week, a couple of times a month, or for a once- or twice- a year special project with your workplace, school, or faith group--we will do our best to work with your available time!

Store Hours are Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., and Wednesday/Friday/Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All Volunteers are supervised by the Nearly New Manager. Shift times below are suggested; we are flexible and can work with your schedule! Some lightweight lifting of up to 20 lbs may be needed, as well as the ability to reach, bend, and place items on shelves at shoulder height and below. We have a high need for help right now on Wednesday & Friday afternoons, and all day Saturday. Individuals seeking service hours, high school students, and small groups of up to 10 people are welcome.

  • 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM
    Tuesdays/Thursdays-- start & end times are flexible; seeking morning to early-afternoon help for 2-4 hours at a time
  • 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM
    Wednesdays/Fridays/Saturdays-- start & end times are flexible; seeking early- to mid-afternoon help for 2-4 hours at a time
  • 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM
    Tuesdays/Thursdays-- start & end times are flexible; seeking mid- to late-afternoon help for 2-4 hours at a time
  • 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM
    Wednesdays/Fridays/Saturdays-- start & end times are flexible; seeking mid- to late-afternoon help for 2-4 hours at a time
