Help clean up Rancho Cordova’s waterways and learn about local watersheds during Creek Week! Trash that enters our storm drains and creeks flows directly into larger creeks and the American River. Volunteer at a clean-up event to help protect our waterways and the aquatic plants and animals that inhabit them.

Participate in fun, educational activities during Sacramento Area Creeks Council’s Creek Week Creek Week 2019 (April 13th-18th) and volunteer on the big Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 18th, 2020! The City of Rancho Cordova will host 6 clean-up sites and a nature walk. Volunteers will be provided refreshments at 8:45am. A site leader will provide you with instructions, garbage bags, and other supplies.

After the clean-up, head over to Carmichael Park for the Creek Week Celebration from 12pm-2pm for food, prizes and fun!

Sign-up to volunteer for a site through this link: https://creekweek.net/volunteer-online/ranchocordova/

Mission Statement

Welcome to the City of Rancho Cordova’s Volunteer Page through the City of Rancho Cordova Community Engagement Division! The Community Engagement Division focuses on the most important natural resource we have: people! Residents of Rancho Cordova have worked tirelessly to build neighborhood coalitions, clean-up neighborhoods, plant gardens, build relationships, and create a sense of community, making this a fun and safe place to live, work, and play. The Community Engagement Division recently created Volunteer Central, a web platform that helps those interested in serving learn about about volunteer opportunities throughout the community. Please explore Volunteer Central by going to http://www.cityofranchocordova.org/volunteer or reach out to Matt Buland (mbuland@cityofranchocordova.org).
