Event Description:
Join City of Raleigh Parks staff as we plant annuals at City Plaza.

Volunteer Impact:
Volunteers will be planting annuals to provide a colorful and enjoyable aesthetic for the community.

Work Environment:
We will be working outside so please dress for the weather! Volunteers will be kneeling, or sitting on the ground and possibly having to bend down to reach into landscape beds. There is a restroom on site. Volunteers will have to park downtown.

Special Information:
We will provide tools, gloves, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit. Volunteers need to wear loose comfortable clothing that can get dirty, and closed-toe shoes.

Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to participate. All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer release form.

Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering a group, please email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov . We require a list of names and their email addresses to hold spots for groups.

Per department policy this event cannot count towards court-appointed or suggested community service hours.
