What are PPH Puppy Parents? PPH Puppy Parents are vital to the development of a service dog. Puppies with basic skills need puppy parents for to learn the ropes of household living. Even though puppies in service dog training have already spent nights and weekends with trainers, they still need to learn what life is like in a house outside of its training routine and personnel. For a few months, a PPH pup-in-training goes home with his or her PPH Puppy Parents and learns new situations, new people, and very important socialization.
PPH Puppy Parents are special people. They are dog lovers. They love our PPH mission. They respect the unique needs of living with pups in training. They are generous and selfless. They are committed to helping shape a highly capable service dog for a service member or veteran in need.
Puppy Parents are the same thing but instead of watching them throughout the week they have them on the weekends!

Description
Paws for Purple Hearts is a 501(C)(3) organization that is dedicated to helping Veterans.
Paws for Purple Hearts is the world’s only service dog organization for wounded service members and veterans that partners with Bergin University of Canine Studies. Bergin provides all Paws for Purple Hearts service dogs and trainers.
Founded and led by the famous canine researcher and inventor of the service dog concept, Dr. Bonnie Bergin, Bergin University is the first and only university in the world that focuses on training dogs and learning about dogs. Through its unique mission to advance human-canine studies, it produces the world’s best dog trainers and helps us breed the highest quality service dogs in the world. Although Paws for Purple Hearts is now separate from Bergin University, it’s a cause that is near and dear to Dr. Bergin. Today, she still actively engaged with Paws for Purple Hearts as a board member.
We not only train service dogs for our wounded warriors, but we also provide a therapeutic class known as Canine-Assisted Warrior Therapy TM, also referred to as Service Dog Training Canine Assisted Therapeutic Intervention, is simple; those with PTSD, TBI and/or MST help PPH trainers with service dog training. Soothing, light-hearted contact with PPH puppies and dogs, together with caring and capable trainers, eases a warrior’s symptom severity.CAUSE AREAS
