Brooke Grove independent living cottage residents need help planting and maintaining plants in garden areas around the house. Many of them are just not agile enough to do this on their own. If you like being outside, this is the perfect role for you. Times are flexible and would be arranged with individual residents; they will give you instructions and provide materials.

Description
Brooke Grove is a continuing care retirement community. We also serve as a rehabilitation center for those 50 and over who need short-term onsite rehab care until they are able to return to their home. We use volunteers to assist with leading games, crafts, providing entertainment, visiting with residents one on one, assisting in the dining areas and transporting residents to onsite appointments. Brooke Grove is a pet-friendly environment and pet visitors are also welcome. We offer a monthly (except December) orientation the last Tuesday of every month, 6:30 - 8pm for those interested in volunteer opportunities. Students who seek to earn SSL credits/hours are welcome: scheduling is very flexible - we can work around school, sports and other commitments.
