Mission Statement
Renaissance Social Services is changing the lives of individuals and families in Chicago, giving them hope and vision for a new life. Description
Renaissance Social Services, Inc provides housing and support services for Chicago’s most vulnerable homeless residents. This past year, Renaissance helped more than more than 3,600 people - families and individuals - find homes, address their mental and physical health issues, and reintegrate into their communities.
In 2023, Renaissance served more than 3,600 people throughout Chicago, including:
- 2,186 individuals (911 households) who received resources to prevent homelessness;
- 453 participants who lived in the agency’s permanent supportive housing, including 159 families;
- 258 individuals who were rapidly re-housed; and,
- 723 people living on the streets and in shelters who were connected to housing, health care, and/or behavioral services.
Renaissance offers this broad and depth array of services because the intersection between homelessness, housing instability, and behavioral health needs is broad and requires a continuum of services in order to be effective in meeting the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.
