Purpose: Event Day Volunteers serve as the glue for the March for Babies event, supporting the March of Dimes staff to help create a memorable experience for families as they celebrate their miracle babies, remember those they lost and hope for a better future for the health of moms and babies.
Location: Cornerstone Park, Henderson NV. This event will be outdoors.Key Responsibilities:
The Event Day Volunteers will:
- Greets guests and directs them to activities.
- Help put up signs, banners and other items within the event space as well as around the walk route.
- Set up food and water station and supervise it making sure we always have water.
- Can own an activity or supervise. Coloring station, games, characters. (Contact Jen to discuss in more detail if interested.)
- Keep event site clear of trash.
- Assist photo station by making sure each team has had their photo taken.
- Be a volunteer photographer for the event. (must have own camera).
- Be a cheerleader for our superhero sprint race.
- Clean up after walk guests leave (trash, stack chairs and tables, throw away table linens, take trash to dumpster etc.)
Prior to event day opportunities: recruit or make connections for characters ie. Spiderman or vendors etc., spread the word about the walk, put up flyers, create a team and fund-raise, post on social.
