The Find-A-Friend Program of Fayetteville Urban Ministry is gearing up for their annual Send a Kid to Camp Campaign and we need YOU to help us get the word out. We'll be placing labels and tabs on hundreds of our Summer Camp Postcards so we can mail them out to our community supporters. If you're looking for an easy way to make a difference in your community or get some volunteer hours look no further!
About the Find-A-Friend Program
The FAF program began in 1982 as one of the first mentoring programs established by Governor Hunt in North Carolina. Since then, it has flourished and added multiple afterschool components to keep at-risk youth fully motivated and enriched through wrap-around support services. Our program helps modify youths’ behavior positively at school, home, and in the community. The FAF program was named a "Champion for Children" in 2009 by the Child Advocacy Center. This summer, our camps will celebrate the achievements and enrich the lives of 75 at-risk & court-involved youth on a weekly basis through a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational activities. What’s more, our camp is 100% FREE OF CHARGE to our kids and their families.
