As a Guardian of Peace there are several ways you can get involved! Do you like Administrative work? Fundraising or working at events? Being a spokesperson in the community? Get involved in where you can share your strengths or where you would like to learn and grow... whatever what speaks to your heart and where you can make a difference! Here are some of the duties that are involved.

• Administrative duties - Perform general clerical duties. Handle requests for information and data and follow up with appropriate staff members. Help with office supply inventories and coordinate maintenance of office equipment. Assist the staff in the management and administration of program related needs.
• Fundraising and events - Assist with all donor stewardship, renewal and recognition activities. Help with planning of fundraising events. Work with the fundraising team to prospect and solicit major donors. Identify and approach potential business partners. Assist with all events as needed.
• Spokesperson - Create and maintain a positive public image for the organization. Attend events where you can educate the community about AOPYO. Identify new community events and organizations to get involved with.
• Mentor - Get involved with our 16 week program and commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person. Empower youth in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential.
• Instructor - Do you have a skill you would like to teach youth? Teach Tai Chi, Lyrical Expression, Chess, Hip Hop, Dance, Language Immersion, Trade Skills, Nutrition, and more.
• Marketing - Help us with our social media, video, newsletters, content and more!
