The Emerging Leaders Mentoring program empowers non-traditional and diverse job seekers of all ages in the healthcare industry by matching them with a professional in healthcare to be their mentor.
We are seeking healthcare professionals with at least one year of work experience who want to give back by mentoring an emerging leader looking to grow their network and receive professional guidance and support.
Our mentees are waiting to be matched with a mentor who is a professional in a position that relates to their career goal, including:
- Nurses
- Respiratory Therapists
- Medical Coders
- Patient Access Specialists
- Pharmacy Techs
- Phlebotomists
- Social Work/Addiction Counselors

Emerging Leaders focuses on diversifying the workforce in the Greater Portland area by providing pathways to leadership for underrepresented communities. Our mission is to empower diverse talent to excel as professionals through opportunity and a supportive community.
The Emerging Leaders Internship (ELI) matches recent graduates and college students of color with paid internships at top companies throughout the Portland Metro area.
The Emerging Leaders Mentoring (ELM) program supports underrepresented groups and those with barriers to employment who seek careers in the technology and healthcare industries by matching them with established professionals to engage in a formal mentoring relationship.
