Our pantry serves well over 200 households and over 10,000 pounds of food per week while providing our clients the opportunity to choose their own food. We wouldn’t be able to serve our clients without volunteers.
Working at the Pantry is a rewarding experience with great, appreciative clients and friendly welcoming volunteers. It is a great atmosphere of giving.
You can schedule soon now as an individual or a group of 5 or less. :
Monday 9:30 AM - 1:45 PM; distributing food to clients,
Tuesday 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM; receiving, sorting, putting food away - no clients
Wednesday 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM receiving, sorting, putting food away
2:00 PM - 6:15 PM; working directly with clients.
OR 11:30 AM - 6:15 PM to work both shifts
Thursday 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM; receiving, sorting etc.
Friday 9:00 AM -12:45 pm; working directly with clients during distribution
We distribute food every Monday AM, Wednesday (3pm - 6pm), and Friday AM. On Tuesday, Wednesday (mid-day), and Thursday we receive, sort, and put away food donations.

Marillac St. Vincent Family Services has been serving the needs of the poor and working poor throughout the city of Chicago for over 100 years. Sponsored by the Daughters of Charity, we provide vital programs and services in the areas of child development, social services, outreach to at-risk families and individuals, senior services and youth programs.
