Our animal shelter is next door to a very large outdoor flea market. It is open almost every weekend when the weather allows. People like to use our parking lot when attending the flea market because it is more convenient than the large muddy field the flea market offers. We collect a small fee from people wishing to park there. We need someone to collect the money, make change when necessary and turn in the money at the end of the day. This is a perfect oppurtunity for anyone who would like to help save cats and dogs. It involves no physical exertion and can be done by people with limited mobility, people with children, even by people with their own dog. Volunteers can help on Saturday or Sunday on whatever schedule they desire. You can work on your tan, read your book, listen to music, pretty much anything you want to do to pass the time. You will meet lots of interesting people. We have about 30 spaces and usually have from 40-50 people ach day. Spring is here so you can start almost immediately.
