WE THANK EVERYONE FOR YOUR ENTHUSIASM - HOWEVER, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY ONLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A THREE-YEAR COMMITMENT AS A MEMBER OF OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND YOU HAVE SKILLS IN THE AREAS OF LAW, DEVELOPMENT, GRANT WRITING, STRATEGIC PLANNING OR BUSINESS OR YOU HAVE BROAD EXPERIENCE ON OTHER BOARDS. Thanks very much!

The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) is the largest international organization working to establish the credibility and efficacy of energy psychology methods. ACEP members integrate mind-body-energy approaches into psychotherapy, healthcare, and coaching for the treatment and enhancement of emotional and physical health, and performance conditions.

Energy psychology is a gentle approach to resolving problems. It often offers a quicker and deeper resolution than talk therapy alone can provide.

As of September 2022, 80+ randomized control trials, over 75 pre-post outcome studies, 5 meta-analyses and 9 systematic reviews have been published on EP methods in English-speaking, peer-reviewed journals. These modalities have been researched by more than 200 investigators in over 12 countries and have been shown to be effective in helping to resolve trauma, addictions, stress, depression and anxiety.

The challenge is that most of our board members are licensed mental health or allied health practitioners. We are looking for people with diverse skills to join us, particularly in the areas of law, development, grant writing, strategic planning, business or someone with broad experience on other boards. Our office is located near Philadelphia but our current board members live throughout the United States plus Mexico.

Board meetings are held virtually, once a month on Mondays, from noon-1:30pm Eastern Time.

If you are intrigued and would like to know more, please send a resume and let us know how you think your skills might match our current needs. Thanks!

Mission Statement

Energy psychology (EP) is a collection of mind-body approaches for understanding and improving human functioning. EP is often extremely useful in helping people recover from trauma, as well as a wide-range of other emotional problems. The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) is a professional organization for licensed healthcare providers and allied health disciplines, which serves to organize and unify EP methods, provides professional support and education, and establishes ethical guidance in practice.

Description

ACEP is the largest international organization that promotes research and application of EP approaches, offering an indispensable network of resources for the public and media, a staunch advocate for members responsibly learning and applying EP models, and an influential presence helping shape mental health and healthcare practices.

Formed as a non-profit in 1999, ACEP has a global membership of over 1,200 licensed mental health professionals and allied health practitioners.

Within the ACEP organization is a family of integrative disciplines that apply energy-related concepts and models across multiple areas. There are both professional and lay disciplines under the ACEP umbrella that uniquely utilize this integrative approach in the healing and change process. ACEP members integrate mind-body-energy approaches into psychotherapy, healthcare, and coaching for the treatment and enhancement of emotional and physical health, and performance conditions.

ACEP works on behalf of its members to establish the credibility and efficacy of energy psychology methods through its programs of education, certification, ethics, humanitarian aid and research. By upholding standards of practice and a code of ethics for energy psychology practitioners, ACEP raises the bar of professionalism for this emerging field. ACEP also has ongoing initiatives to increase public awareness of the effectiveness and cost efficiency of these methods.
