Volunteer Treasurer and Board Member

Justice At Last is a young nonprofit organization whose mission is to see that survivors of human

trafficking receive all the legal services they need to support their healing and recovery. We are

seeking a Member of the Board of Directors who will also serve as the Treasurer to donate their

time and skills to our organization. This is a great opportunity to be meaningfully involved in

helping survivors of human trafficking and gain some valuable Board experience.

Our Board of Directors is a friendly and dedicated hands-on collaborative group of professionals

willing to roll up their sleeves and help guide us as we continue to grow. We have a specific

need for a Treasurer to help with our financial management, reporting and budgeting processes,

particularly as we receive and spend grant and donor income and other funding. The skills we

seek include:

* Financial experience

* Bookkeeping

* Preparing and assisting with budgets

* Financial reporting

* Helping to create and maintain financial policies and procedures

* Attention to detail

This volunteer opportunity is located in San Mateo, California and involves meeting monthly

with the executive director to review financials and authorize and endorse checks. The Board of

Directors has nine meetings a year, typically on a Saturday or Sunday which lasts about 2 hours per meeting.
