Volunteers are a vital part of achieving our goal of helping seniors maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life. The Center for Elders' Independence provides high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly, increasing their ability to live in their communities.
We're looking for volunteers who are able to support our development staff once or twice a month on special projects. These can range from data collection and entry, preparing for up coming event and assisting in mailing project to name a few.
As an office support volunteer you'll work closely with our Volunteer Coordinator to arrange a suitable schedule and there is no commitment required!
The Center for Elders’ Independence (CEI) provides coordinated medical and other health-related services to approximately 700-750 frail, low-income seniors (ages 56 to 102) in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Our services enable frail seniors to avoid nursing home placement and remain living independently at home. Once enrolled in CEI’s Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), our participants receive all of their primary and specialty health care, recreational and rehab therapies, prescription medicines, home nursing care, socialization, nutritious meals, and transportation directed by our interdisciplinary care team of 11 specialists.
