Do you want to share your passion for arts and crafts with others in a fun environment? Volunteer to lead acrafting class for seniors living at Columbia Park Manor in Pittsburgh! We are looking for a volunteer to lead an hour long class on weekdays . You will give our residents a creative outlet to express themselves and teach them new artistic skills while fostering community. The volunteer will prepare activities for each day’s class, give the residents instructions or guidelines for the activity, and work with residents one-on-one if needed, maintaining the balance between giving them independence and support.

This group of residents has a long history of doing crafts form designing terrariums, to knitting and more, so they are looking for an experienced crafter to guide and inspire them.

If you're looking to make a difference in your community, this is a wonderful opportunity to gain teaching experience with students who are eager to learn.

Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.
