Wild Weekend: Outdoor Explorers

Share your passion for the outdoors at Wild Weekend: Outdoor Explorers! Help girls begin their outdoor exploration at Camp Fleming. Girls will learn the importance of Leave No Trace, practice knot tying skills, discover how to cook a meal in a cardboard box, and more. Volunteers are needed to help with outdoor educational activities, crafts, event registration, meal prep and general event logistics.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Experience with outdoor activities such as knot tying, outdoor cooking, etc.
  • Experience working with young children
  • Supportive of different learning and communication styles
  • Punctual, dependable, enthusiastic, flexible and positive attitude
  • Ability to facilitate programs when given instructions
  • Willing to assist with event set-up, clean-up, registration, general logistics/assistance
  • Help GSHCC staff with outdoor educational activity, crafts, meal prep and more

Requirements:

Background check is required.
Approved volunteer application.
Membership is not required.
18 years or older.
