Short-term data volunteer needed, to help with data entry and data processing of water quality data for upload into MyRWA's water quality database. Experience using Excel or other spreadsheet program required. Experience with relational databases, Microsoft Access, and R would be useful, but not necessary. Tasks include processing of annual water quality data, working with watershed scientist to implement new data quality/data checking procedures, as other tasks, as time allows.

Mission Statement
The Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) was founded in 1972 to protect and restore natural resources in the 22-community watershed. MyRWA accomplishes this work through the efforts of professional staff and thousands of volunteers working together on a project-by-project basis.
MyRWA mission is to protect and restore the Mystic River, its tributaries and watershed lands for the benefit of present and future generations and to celebrate the value, importance and great beauty of these natural resources.
Description
The Mystic River Watershed encompasses 76 square miles, half a million inhabitants, and 22 communities, in whole or in part. It extends from the headwaters of the Aberjona River in suburban Reading to the heavily urban/industrial communities bordering Boston Harbor.
Communities in the watershed include the following: Arlington, Melrose, Belmont, Reading, Revere, Charlestown, E. Boston, Somerville, Burlington, Stoneham, Cambridge, Wakefield, Chelsea, Watertown, Everett, Wilmington, Lexington, Winchester, Malden, Winthrop, Medford, and Woburn.
