Join our award winning organization to help lead change for grassroots environmental action. Our dedicated team, through outreach and education initiatives, serves as a critical community resource for San Diego County on issues and practices surrounding soil, water, and zero waste. Solana Center is a nonprofit organization and has worked with people of all ages to support local sustainability since 1983.
Solana Center at the County Fair
Solana Center provides education at the San Diego County Fair throughout the entire month of festivities. We have over 10,000 visitors that come by our location in the Infield Farm to check out our demonstration sites, educational displays, and hands-on learning. Our exhibit covers all things sustainable living including composting, water conservation, waste reduction, gardening, and more.
Meet other environmental enthusiasts and make an impact on residents from all over the Country. Plus, you will receive free access to the San Diego County Fair as well as 4 free tickets for friends and family!

REQUIREMENTS
- Each shift is 3.5 hours long either 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM - 5:20 PM, Wednesday through Sunday May 31st through July 4th. Come volunteer for just one shift or as many as you want!
- This volunteer opportunity is open to all levels of experience and ages. You will be trained when you arrive onsite. Underage volunteers must come with an adult chaperone.
