COMPUTER CLASS VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT NEEDED for Basic Computer Classes
Do you have some knowledge of computers? Are you looking to assist amazing Adults and Seniors looking to be more self-sufficient in their daily lives? Marillac St Vincent Family Services’ Foglia Center is looking for you.
Assist adult students who want to utilize the internet and be competent in basic programs in order to access needed services. This is a Basic Computer Class demonstrating Windows 10, email, use of the internet, and Microsoft Office.
The volunteer hours would be from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00AM- 1:00 PM.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is proficient in Windows 10, email (especially Gmail), teaching safe internet use and, and Microsoft Office.
- Can assist instructor by being able to guide individual students with classroom exercises
- Has a teaching background, but it is not necessary?
- Has experience working with seniors is helpful, but not necessary.
- Can communicate clearly.
- Are somewhat flexible and adaptive.
- Is willing to help set up before class and light clean up after the class.
