ORGANIZATION: Aurora Health Care Volunteer Opportunities

Assist team members in providing quality service to our patients and their families on assigned floor.

  • Round on patients hourly. (Offer activity cart)
  • Refresh water
  • Assist with discharging patients.
  • Restock supplies, including isolation gowns.
  • Provide clerical support to caregiver staff such as answering the phone, answering call lights, collating admission packets, making copies, review Welcome letter with patient.
  • Straighten up department. Pick up garbage off floor, empty garbage and replace full linen bags.

All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and commit to a minimum of 64 hours of volunteering during a calendar year.

Volunteers are needed:

Floor Assistant (Medical Surgical and Behavioral Health Units): 8 a.m.-4 p.m (2 Hour Shifts: 8-10am, 10a-12pm. 12-2pm., 2-4pm, 4-6pm)

Floor Assistant (Women’s Health): 2:30 p.m. - 8 p.m . (Shifts: 2-3 hours)
