In the tutoring program, you, as an ACADEMIC COACH, will help members solidify their academic skills and develop a passion for learning!
As a volunteer, you may be asked to perform the following tasks:
- VOLUNTEER DURING TUTORING SESSIONS ON TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 6~7 PM
- Work with up to three members at a time to provide academic support
- Teaching Kindergarten to 8th-grade math, reading, writing, and/or grammar
- Track member progress after each tutoring session
- Ensure members’ behavior remains consistent with club rules and regulations
- Report any injuries to the supervisor immediately
- Follow all Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club policies and procedures without exception
- Individuals who are 18 years or older must pass the required fingerprinting background check

The Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club (MPBGC) is a non-profit organization that has been serving youth between the ages of 6 and 18 years since 1955. We provide members with an array of educational, recreational and social activities in a safe and structured environment during after-school hours.
