Making Strides events celebrate and honor breast cancer survivors and caregivers, educate the public about prevention and detection to reduce risk of the disease, and raise funds to help end breast cancer.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Columbus walk is seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to help with the planning and execution of our October 13th, 2019 Walk, which will be held at Genoa Park. We are looking for individuals that can help with the following:
Sponsorship
Team/Participant recruitment and retention
Survivor activities
Kids Activities
Logistics
Committee Member Expectations:
- When available, meet monthly with the planning committee
- If possible, attend and be available to help at the kickoff, setup day and the walk day
- Sign up as an individual or team on the event website
- Be enthusiastic!
Time Commitment:
1 Year Commitment
Monthly Committee Meetings (can help from home)
February-November: 4-8 hours/month
