40 years in the making! This Treasure Valley tradition has been engraved in the history of the Treasure Valley. Join us in making sure this year’s Famous Idaho Potato is the best ever for families and community members to enjoy.

This event has a full marathon, half marathon, 10K and a 5K. So there are plenty of areas that you can volunteer at.

We are looking for volunteers to help in the following areas:
YMCA Famous Idaho Potato Expo and Packet Pickup (20 volunteers needed):
- Help vendors set up their areas
- Help fill packets full of goodies for the racers
- Helping participants receive their bibs and packets.
- Distributing racer t-shirts after racers have picked up their packets
- Setup/take down of Expo
Day of Race Packet Pickup (15 volunteers needed)
-Helping participants receive their bibs and packets at late packet pickup
Starting Line Set up (10 Volunteers needed)
-Setting up flagging, banners, tents, scaffolding in the race area.
Course Cheer Boosters and Road Guards (40 volunteers needed)
-Cheering on and making sure all runners know where they are going and to assist in course monitoring.
Award Distribution (5 volunteers needed)
-We have many categories for runners to place on the podium. Be the one to congratulate them and give them their awards and medals.
Refuel Station (10 Volunteers needed)
-There will be snacks and bagels for the racers to refuel. Be there to hand them some fuel to replenish their tired muscles.
Post-Race Take Down (20 volunteers needed)
-Taking down race equipment, course material and cleaning up race area
Aid Stations - we are looking for 3 more groups to help at the aid stations around the course. email us if you have a group that is interested.
-Providing water/aid to runners throughout the course.
Finish Line Medals & Water Distribution
-Help distribute medals and water to all the finishers
