Hospice volunteers are really companions for our patients. It’s visiting with people, having conversations, showing interest in the amazing lives they have led. These people have often outlived friends and family members and are lonely. It is common that some of our people only have interactions on a medical basis, not people that just want to visit. You are not expected to "assist" with patient care. We just want so much for our patients to have some company and companionship in their final days/weeks/months. The minimum ask is 2-4 hours a month and I will work with your location and schedule. We are currently seeking a registered Therapy Cat that can show they are up to date on shots and would enjoy visiting with our patients.
