A direct patient volunteer serves as a friend/companion to hospice patients and families. Volunteers work in conjunction with the hospice team to provide appropriate support services. Volunteers provide regular companionship to patients, providing family members with appropriate respite. Many of our volunteers enjoy engaging patients in conversation, playing card games, sharing mutual hobbies, and so much more.
Our volunteers are trained in many settings including a patient's home, nursing facility, and assisted living facility.
The Mission of Tower Health is to provide compassionate, accessible, high quality, cost effective healthcare to the community; to promote health; to educate healthcare professionals; and to participate in appropriate clinical research.
