Mission Statement
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable all young people, especially those that need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Description
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin is a youth development agency, serving youth 5-18 years of age during critical after school hours and out of school time (summer). Our primary mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We currently have over 1,000 members and see on average more than 500 kids a day. Our programs are designed to enhance the social, educational, health, vocational, leadership, and character development of our members. The emphasis is on building strong relationships with the youth of our community.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin fill a critical need throughout Grant County, especially for low income youth and their families. Our organization helps members build character through everyday leadership and guidance in behavior and attitude. Young people of all nationalities, race, and creeds join together in wholesome recreation and companionship at one of our seven locations. All families are welcome, regardless of their ability to pay the low monthly fee of $15/child or $25/family. Our scholarship rate is 16% of all families served.
