The Homeownership Center Northwest is a 26 year old non-profit, community based organization that rehabs and develops new affordable homes and leads community revitalization. We seek a person(s) familiar with nonprofit accounting practices to help us better organize, review our current accounting methods and act as a mentor. We are managing well but would like a consultant that might review how we "work" and may have suggestions or ideas to be better and improve accountability, transparency and methods.
Your knowledge and expertise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration,

Mission Statement
The Homeownership Center of Tacoma Northwest (HCHW) is a 28+-year-old, community-based nonprofit corporation whose mission is to foster neighborhood revitalization through homeownership, provide free ongoing financial counseling and offer supportive resources to our community. HCT builds quality new homes, refurbishes existing homes, and makes homeownership affordable by providing a no-interest, no-payment second mortgage that ensures monthly payments are tailored to the household’s income instead of the purchase price of the home. HCT offers this unique financing program throughout the Pacific Northwest for homes that we have constructed or refurbished, to modest-income home buyers that have not owned a home during the past three years. We also offer free homebuyer, education classes. We have successfully matched over 200+ homes with individuals and families. We are just beginning. Join Us!
