National Electronics Museum

Education Volunteers provide assistance in the delivery and/or development of the Museum’s educational programming. Education Volunteers should have some industry or education experience relevant to electronics or electrical engineering, or to STEM related topics. They should enjoy working with the public and talking to new people. Duties include giving tours and assisting in running workshops and events. Some Education Volunteers may help the Museum Educator to devise accurate, engaging projects for museum workshops and special events. Most events take place at the museum on weekdays, however, there are also evening, weekend, and offsite events.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Education Volunteers have flexibility of hours and are scheduled as needed. Most volunteer shifts will take place during weekdays.
  • Education Volunteers should have some industry or education experience relevant to electronics or electrical engineering, or to STEM related topics. Prior museum experience not required. Education volunteers must be able to pass a Background Check.
