Responsible for creating, administering, and implementing our long-term development plan for sustaining TEDxTucson. We work closely with other departments in the organization - video production, event planning, and speaker development. Plan, direct, or coordinate fund-raising activities of TEDxTucson.
- Expanding and growing relationships with existing clients and creating relationships with new ones.
- Work with marketing staff to develop communication and engagement strategies.
- Apply for state, local, and federal grants.
- Thank sponsors or partners in unique ways.
You will help grow and steer this amazing non-profit.

TEDxTucson’s mission is: · To show Tucson to itself by creating live events that are amazing experiences. These live events have speakers and performers mostly from Southern Arizona (80% of our speakers are from this region). · To show Tucson to the world by creating beautiful, professional video recordings of our events. Our video library has over 5 million views. Our top video has over 2.5 million views! · To create a passionate community within Tucson for discussing ideas and exploring new perspectives.
Description
Organizationally, TEDx Tucson is a grassroots, nonprofit initiative based in Southern Arizona. We have recently applied for 501c(3) nonprofit status. The TEDxTucson staff are professionals in their fields who give their time voluntarily. All speakers and entertainers take part on a no-fee basis. Together, we strive to make the ideas and innovations presented within our regular TEDxTucson gatherings accessible to the widest possible cross-section of our community.
