When the immediate emergency is over, the healing can begin. Our disaster recovery guides will help you start the process of recovering for our clients. Support the disaster recovery of individuals, families, and communities through the activities of Casework and Recovery Planning, Recovery Systems, and Community Recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Casework follow-up to Clients who have received Disaster Action Team assistance
- Maintain casework files
- Maintain and update computer-based casework records, including Client Assistance Cards (CAC), the Client Assistance System (CAS), and Microsoft Office documents and spreadsheets.
- Acquire and maintain familiarity with services provided by governmental and non-governmental organizations in order to assist clients to obtain needed services.
- Provide office orientation and casework training to new casework volunteers
- Generally maintain and support the ongoing activities of the client Casework services
