On May 20 we need 10 volunteers!
9 AM -12 noon - unload and inventory equipment for our build day.
12 noon - lunch
1-3 PM - sort/label playground equipment and hardware; assemble tools and store in container

On May 22 we need 25 - 30 volunteers!

8:00 AM - arrive and enjoy breakfast

9 - 11 Decks and posts team; spread felt and mulch

11 - 12 Enjoy lunch

12:30 - mix cement
12:30 - 2:30 - complete playground
2:30 - 3 - clean up
3:00 pm - ribbon cutting ceremony

It is often difficult to describe the severity and complexity of issues confronted by the students served by PHILLIPS. all youth served by PHILLIPS Programs were in some type of crisis in their previous school placement.

Description

PHILLIPS Programs is a private, nonprofit organization serving over 500 children annually and their families in the Washington DC metropolitan area. PHILLIPS serves the needs of individuals with emotional and behavioral health needs and their families through education, family support services, community education and advocacy. For 51 years, PHILLIPS ha helped children where others could not - to prepare them to reach their potential and become productive young adults.

PHILLIPS Programs operates four schools, provides career and technical education programs through Career Partners; offers home-based and community-based family services through our Family Partners program; and provides counseling, behavior management, life skills, reading, speech, occupational and physical therapies at all of our schools.
