Volunteer will step into the classroom and educate 3rd graders on money decision making. This includes how money is earned, the choice to spend, save and donate. With the progression of each lesson, students will learn about different forms of money, the importance of balancing money and the individual choices that come with making money.
Volunteer does not need to have a background in finances, just needs to have basic reading and writing skills! All materials come prepacked and the Junior Achievement Staff will train the volunteer through the lessons and materials in our office during volunteer orientation. Commitment is 5 hours, which is broken down throughout a month or semester. Each lesson is approximately an hour long.
*All volunteers fill out volunteer conduct forms and may undergo a background check.
