Event Description: It's going to be an egg-cellent time at Abbotts Creek Community Volunteers are needed to assist with egg distribution, activity facilitation, and to play the role of the Easter Bunny.
- Activities: Setup and lead participants in completing pre-planned art projects or activities. At the close of the event you will clean up your area.
- Egg Distribution: Hide eggs in the park at Abbotts Creek and support the ensure safety during the hunt. At the close of the hunt, you will help with clean up.
- Bunny and Handler: One person will wear a bunny costume and will have their picture taken with children. Another person will help to guide the bunny around.
Volunteer Impact: This egg hunt creates an opportunity for volunteers to assist our department with programming that supports social interaction for youth and their families. Be a part of this by impacting your community positively.
Work Environment: We will be working outside in the elements so dress accordingly. There is the possibility of uneven ground. There will be restrooms available in the community center. Please wear closed-toe shoes such as sneakers.
Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have an adult sign their release form. All volunteers must sign a release form.
Per department policy this event cannot count towards court-appointed or suggested community service hours.
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering a group, please email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov . We require a list of names and their email addresses to hold spots for groups.
