Mission Statement

The LaGrange Art League is dedicated to advancement of the arts and of artists. Through our efforts, we work to promote an appreciation for and awareness of the visual arts in our community. Our "Starts With Art" program covers the fees for childrens' classes, camps and art supplies of local talented kids and teens, nominated by their teachers who believe their students would benefit from the arts. We sponsor mutually beneficial programming in the surrounding area to build a larger and stronger creatively focused community. We provide annual local high school scholarships and art as therapy programs.

Description

Founded in 1933, our ancient facility thrives in downtown LaGrange, IL. We provide classes, workshops, free demonstrations, events, kids camps and community art projects. Our philanthropic endeavors include scholarships for kids and teens, free art classes with our "Starts with Art" program and a multitude of free programs, demonstrations and exhibitions. We partner with local hospitals, elder care facilities and other organizations to provide people of all ages and skill levels healing and motivation through the visual arts.
