Washington Regional Hospice is seeking volunteers with certified therapy animals!
Certified therapy dogs can provide physical, emotional, and social benefits to patients and their families such as reducing blood pressure, anxiety, boredom, loneliness, and even pain.
Volunteers must:
(1). Be a pet owner with a pet therapy certificate accepted from a nationally recognized organization such as Pet Partners,
(2). Provide proof of pet liability insurance,
(3). Provide veterinary vaccination records,
(4). Complete hospice volunteer training.
