This senior center is on a mission to help get qualified seniors back into the workforce. The center has contracted with the Bucks County Community College to offer professional level courses in essential computer job skills such as use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to active adults 55+ FREE of charge. Courses will also be offered in resume writing, professional networking, and other job hunting skills.

Job Title: Computer Educator/Instructional Assistants for Seniors

Job Description: The center seeks qualified volunteers to participate in the classes and offer support to other students. These volunteers will be instructors in training and continue to teach future classes in this community setting.

The courses consist of two or three (4) hour sessions and are offered at a variety of times and days.

Job Tasks:

• Teach professional level computer skills to seniors in a community setting.
• Use curriculum demonstrated by Bucks County Community College instructors.
• Field participant questions and provide hands on assistance to students in instructional classes at the center.
• Support seniors seeking to better their skill set or re-enter the workforce.

Requirements:

• Have some working knowledge of the at least one of the computer skills being presented
• Participate in free classes at the center instructed by Bucks County Community College professors.
• Attend train the trainer supports offered by the college.
