If you can volunteer ten hours a week in any of the following cities: Afton, Cottage Grove, Oakdale, Woodbury, Stillwater, Bayport, Hugo or other cities in Washington County lets talk.
It's tax-free and does not count as income (for other programs). If you can spend time with a child who has a disability or an adult with a chronic health issue, or a senior who is frail or has memory loss we need you.
You would not be providing any medical care, personal cares or household tasks.
You would be providing a break for a caregiver by providing companionship and supervision to their loved one.
It's a great way to make a new friend, do something that helps others, keep yourself active and get some financial assistance.
You do need to be able to drive to two homes in Washington County once a week for a 3-4 hours visit. Training will be provided in a ninety-minute session and you must be able to pass a criminal background check.
