Volunteer shifts are now open for the Clippers SciFest SoCal! Join us March 22-23, 2019 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. If you are interested, please fill out the form below and we will be in touch with you shortly.
Volunteer Job Descriptions
Event Ambassador
Be familiar with the following:
How to get around the convention center
Location of the information booths
The layout of the exhibit halls and exhibitors
Location of food services and restrooms
Exhibitor Lead
Serve as the main point of contact for an assigned group of exhibitors
Oversee the volunteers (Exhibitor Guides) in your area
Serve as liaison with exhibitor and LACC staff to resolve any issues with booth set-up or other needs/issues
Work with Festival management for any issues that cannot be resolved easily
Exhibitor Guide
Understand the layout of the exhibit hall and location of exhibitors
Answer exhibitor questions
Direct exhibitors to correct exhibit space
Assist exhibitors as needed
Exhibitor Check-in
Assist with checking in Exhibitors, handing out badges/packets and directing them to their booth space
Answer any exhibitor questions and work with A5 Events to resolve any issues at registration
Info Booth
Knowledge of Convention Center layout and exhibit hall
Answer questions regarding the location of exhibitors
Location of food services and restrooms
Collect all lost and found items
Knowledge of HUB for first aid and lost child
Knowledge of school bus locations
Transportation
Assist school groups
Provide loading information
Manage the queue areas
Escort school groups to bus areas
