Are you seeking an interesting and meaningful position that allows you to meet, work with, and be part of a great community of compassionate people? Arizona Emergency Medical Systems, Inc (AEMS) is a small, non-profit, and collaborative organization that provides education, training, and advocacy for EMS and trauma care professionals and volunteers and on the issues they confront in the field.

We are looking for a few good volunteers whom are highly motivated, responsible, productive, dedicated, and creative to help us with our organizational needs and education activities. As you can see below, we offer many opportunities for you to match your interests and skills with tasks that are mutually beneficial.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Covid-19 Pandemic has re-prioritized our activities.

• COMMUNICATION. Throughout this disaster, AEMS will play an essential role in serving as a communication medium and information clearinghouse during this stressful time for our healthcare professionals. Help us enhance our communication channels including email, website, social media, and Zoom.
  
  
• MASKS. Dues to US shortages, many first responders, including those from rural areas, may not have enough Personal Protection Equipment, including the essential MASK. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If you are crafty, AEMS is your outlet to distribute the masks. • SOCIAL MEDIA.Help us develop our Twitter, Facebook, and other social media accounts so that we may better connect with and provide important information and resources to our EMS and trauma care professionals serving the Central Arizona region and statewide.
  
  
• WEBSITE (aems.org). Similar to Social Media, help us create and develop beneficial content for our website.
  
  
• OUTREACH
  

1. We are in need of assistance with our outreach efforts to communicate and distribute information to our contacts about AEMS activities. Help us create and publish AEMS News & Notes our periodic newsletter.
   
   
2. In order to maximize AEMS impact, we need to maintain a current contact list with all our EMS provider agencies including air and ground transport, fire departments/districts, hospital, and other related health and public safety organizations. Help us maintain this list by networking with the various organizations and updating contacts. We are in need of assistance with outreach efforts to communicate and distribute information to our contacts about AEMS activities.

• EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

1. Continuing Education via Zoom - Help us coordinate speakers through Zoom online CE events during this time of social distancing.
   
   
2. *EMS Odyssey Conference - AEMS coordinates the annual EMS Odyssey Conference. It is a major conference for EMS professionals that offers topical presentations, dynamic speakers, and 10 continuing education hours. We need help with promoting the conference and identifying vendors whom help underwrite our conference expenses.
   
3. Functional Group Meeting - The third Wednesday of every odd month, we bring our EMS professionals together to discuss topical issues and educational subjects. We are in need of help connecting with and identifying presentations for the Functional Group meeting.
